Narrative of Services:
After 5 plus years of working as a psychotherapist at OCDLA in California, I relocated to Portland, Oregon. In 2007, I began the Portland OCD and Anxiety Center, a highly specialized outpatient therapy program that focuses on the treatment of OCD and OC related disorders. This includes the very effective treatment modality, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Resources for children with OCD are limited in Oregon, but I provide specialized care for children and adolescents and education/support for their families. I also provide individual and group counseling for adults. Groups include an OCD/Mixed Anxiety group and a Women's Trichotillomania/Compulsive Skin Picking Group.
I received my Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (Clinical Art Therapy) from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. My OCD work began at the OCD Center of Los Angeles where I was trained to use CBT specifically with OCD and OC related disorders. I've been working with OCD clients for over 7 years. During this time I have treated adults and headed several therapeutic/support groups for OCD, Mixed Anxiety, Trichotillomania, and Compulsive Skin Picking. I've also dedicated much of my practice to using CBT for the treatment of OCD in childrena and adolescents.
