Narrative of Services:

I treat adults with obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders, including OCD, skin-picking disorder, hair-pulling disorder, and body dysmorphic disorder, other anxiety disorders, and tics disorders. Approximately 80% of my clients have an obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorder. I utilize the following treatment modalities: Exposure and response prevention (ERP), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), habit reversal training (HRT), Comprehensive Behavioral (ComB) Treatment, and cognitive behavioral intervention for tics (CBIT). I currently work in both my own private practice and in a group practice.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

If a client’s primary diagnosis is OCD, skin picking disorder, or hair pulling disorder, treatment primarily consists of evidence-based protocols for OCD and BFRBs, including exposure and response prevention (ERP), the Comprehensive Behavioral (ComB) model, and habit reversal training (HRT). Co-occurring anxiety disorders are addressed within the same CBT framework, often using exposure-based strategies, thought-reframing, and relaxation techniques. When tics or Tourette’s are present, behavioral interventions such as Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT) are incorporated as needed.

Training Description:

I am a licensed psychologist specializing in the treatment of OCD, skin picking, and hair pulling. I have treated OCD and related disorders at the residential, partial hospitalization, and outpatient level. I completed my predoctoral internship at Rogers Behavioral Health, where I worked at a residential treatment center for adults with severe obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders, skin-picking disorder, hair-pulling disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, and tic disorders. My postdoctoral internship was completed at Pacific Anxiety Group, where a large portion of my caseload consisted of individuals with obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorders. I have received advanced training in ERP, CBT, ACT, HRT, and ComB.

Diversity Statement:

I enjoy working with clients of all races, ethnicities, cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender identities, and religions. Many of my clients are members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Cultural competency and diversity have been a core focus throughout my doctoral and post-doctoral training. I actively participate in seminars, consultations, and workshops to better serve clients from all backgrounds. I strive to create a genuine, welcoming, and respectful therapeutic environment for all my clients.
