Sarah McCoy PhD
Currently, about 20 percent of my practice is spent utilizing E/RP to treat individuals diagnosed with OCD. I have treated a variety of different types of OCD in terms of the content of the intrusive thoughts (e.g., harm obsessions, sexual obsessions, germs/contaminants, perfectionism, etc.). I also specialize in treating Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar I and II, Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Phobia, and PTSD. In addition to my BTTI training, I am trained in several different treatment modalities, including DBT and EMDR.
I also have experience utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy to successfully treat several co-occurring disorders, including: Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Panic Disorder, and Social Anxiety Disorder.
I have been licensed as a clinical psychologist for over 10 years and have successfully treated children, teens, and adults through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, including E/RP. I received training through my graduate coursework and experience on practicum and internship. I completed the BTTI training program in 2018 and have since received over 20 hours of additional training through the annual IOCDF convention and online training opportunities. I consult as needed with specialists in the field.
