Narrative of Services:

Dr. McRae specializes only in anxiety disorders, with 50% of her practice being devoted specifically to clients with OCD and co-occurring disorders.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

Dr. McRae also treats Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Depression, and Binge Eating Disorder.

Training Description:

Dr. McRae completed her post-doctoral training at an eating disorder clinic, and she has worked with clients with ED/OCD for many years. She is trained in evidenced-based therapies and experiential techniques for people with OCD and co-occurring disorders. She also incorporates holistic approaches such as mindfulness, breathwork and Yoga Nidra into her clinical work for a comprehensive, healing approach.

Diversity Statement:

Dr. McRae has worked with clients who identify as Mexican-American, and she focused her dissertation work in this area using Relational Theory and feminism. She has also worked with clients who identify as LGBTQ+ who may have body sensitivities when transitioning genders or body dysmorphia.

Dr. McRae has completed educational courses and diversity trainings, supervised trainees for licensure in CO, and has been working with diverse clients for 27 years. Her experiences include focused efforts within community crisis centers, law enforcement/outreach settings, scholastic environments, wilderness settings, inpatient psychiatric/drug and alcohol/eating disorder rehabilitation centers, integrated medical healthcare clinics, and private practice. Additionally, she has served in the area of nonprofit administration in roles emphasizing clinical supervision, program development, marketing, community outreach, and community/state advocacy efforts.
