I have provided CBT for anxiety disorders in the context of my doctoral and postdoctoral training. More specifically, my dissertation was completed at the VA San Diego where I implemented a cognitive rehabilitation+ exposure therapy intervention for the treatment of hoarding disorder (HD). I also provided ERP for adult and geriatric patients with HD and contributed to the publication of articles on the topic. Additionally, I completed one year of post doc work at Rogers Behavioral Health where I provided ERP for treatment of moderate to severe OCD.
Nashville is a diverse and fast growing metropolis. My practice accepts adult and geriatric patients who are able to read and speak in English. However, we may be able to provide referrals for individuals who require an interpreter or a bilingual counselor.
Having graduated from a clinically oriented program, my educational training required formal multicultural coursework. Additionally, I completed practical training at UCSD, community mental health, and the VA hospital. In these settings, I worked with individuals who represented a range of ethnic and racial backgrounds, sexual orientation, educational background, age, and illness severity.
