Pamela Newman, PsyD, MSCP

Psychologist
Narrative of Services:
I have extensive training in both therapeutic and pharmacological modalities to enhance and support patient care. As a clinical psychologist with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology, I am equipped to integrate psychological and biological perspectives in treatment. My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented. Together, we will identify the outcomes you’re working toward and develop a tailored treatment plan to help you get there.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
I specialize in treating co-occurring conditions with OCD, including substance use disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder. Using evidence-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), we will work collaboratively to help you build and live the life you envision.
Training Description:
I have been treating individuals with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) since 2017. My experience spans psychiatric hospital settings and includes specialized training through the University of Pennsylvania, where I had the opportunity to work closely with some of the founders of ERP. With a strong foundation in psychopharmacology, I collaborate seamlessly with primary care providers and psychiatrists to ensure that medication and other biological factors are thoughtfully integrated into your overall treatment plan.
