Katrina Ostmeyer PhD
Dr. Ostmeyer specializes in providing consultation and therapy for complex cases in the natural environment. She meets with clients in their homes, schools, and communities while working with supports to help produce and maintain robust change and symptom reduction. A majority of her cases include working with individuals on the OCD Spectrum with and without intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
Dr. Ostmeyer specializes in providing therapy and consultation for complex cases in the natural environment. Each treatment plan is tailored to the individual based on areas of need, available supports, location(s) of intervention, and functioning level.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
Staff at Beyond the Individual, LLC specialized in the assessment and treatment of complex behavioral profiles with a focus on those that include neurodevelopmental disorders.
Dr. Ostmeyer began her specialty training in working with individuals on the OCD Spectrum while completing her assistantship/internship at the Kansas City Center for Anxiety Treatment while completing her masters in psychology. She obtained additional specialty training while a PhD student at Virginia Tech. She has incorporated this training with her specialty in providing behavior analytic treatment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disorders. Dr. Ostmeyer currently works with children, families, and systems as both a therapist and student supervisor.
Dr. Ostmeyer has received extensive education and training in working with diverse backgrounds through both her clinical psychological and behavior analytic coursework, continuing education, and direct experience. She has worked with clients from a variety of different cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. She strives to work with each family to observe the values and rules in their home and put them at ease with the receipt of services in the home setting.
