Narrative of Services:

90% of the population served at our practice are individuals with OCD or related disorders. We offer individual therapy, group therapy and an intensive outpatient program for OCD. I currently see a full caseload of 23 individuals, 21 fulfill an OCD diagnosis. I have specialized in treating OCD and other severe anxiety disorders for five years.

Training Description:

Georgiana Paolillo specializes in empirically supported treatments for OCD and related disorders, and provides virtual individual and group therapy. She has worked with Dr. Edwards to develop the Intensive Outpatient Program and OCD Group programming at NYAT. Georgiana also supervises and mentors trainees and new professionals working toward licensure at the practice.

Georgiana earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University, and completed her clinical internship at The Center for Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy in New York, New York, and completed her post-graduate hours at New York Anxiety Treatment.

During my training at Pace University, I was able to build an understanding of the cultural context of relationships, issues and trends in multicultural and diverse society. Georgiana has had specific training in Affirmative Therapy, American Counseling Association (ACA) competences, World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) ethics, and critical mental health, medical, and professional resources for queer communities.
