Narrative of Services:

I am a licensed psychologist and co-owner of Novo Behavioral Health, specializing in the treatment of OCD, anxiety disorders, and related conditions across the lifespan. I provide evidence-based therapy using approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT), and mindfulness-based interventions. I also work with parents and families, offering Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), SPACE treatment, and behavioral parent training. My practice emphasizes specialized, collaborative care tailored to each client’s unique needs, including intensive treatment options when appropriate.

Training Description:

I was trained at the University of Florida’s behavioral health unit for two years as a practicum site. I shadowed supervisors during OCD cases and was trained in a mentorship/team based model where multiple ERP therapists worked on one case. I often was a co-therapist for different OCD cases. I also received OCD supervision during my postdoctoral fellowship. I have had experience treating contamination, sexual, racist, religious, harm/aggression, and suicidal obsessions. I also treat compulsive rumination. I am currently partaking in the IOCDF level 300 course with Dr. Patrick McGrath.

Diversity Statement:

As a South Asian female psychologist, I value providing culturally responsive, individualized care to clients from a wide range of racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, socioeconomic, and family backgrounds. While I work with individuals across all demographics and stages of life, I have particular experience supporting those with OCD, anxiety disorders, and related concerns. My practice serves a diverse population, and I strive to understand each client’s unique cultural experiences, values, and identities as part of the treatment process. I am committed to creating an inclusive, collaborative, and affirming environment where all clients feel respected and understood.

As a licensed psychologist and co-owner of Novo Behavioral Health, I work with individuals and families from a wide range of cultural, racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and family backgrounds across the lifespan. My doctoral internship at Boys Town in Omaha, NE involved serving primarily at-risk youth from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, many impacted by domestic violence, substance abuse, and other significant stressors. I completed graduate-level training in cultural competency, taught an undergraduate course on diverse cultural populations, and gained additional experience providing assessment and counseling services in diverse, low-income school settings.
