Narrative of Services:

OCD and related disorders currently make up 100% of my clinical caseload. I work primarily with adolescents (approximately 50%), adults (40%), and children (10%) experiencing OCD, health anxiety, body-focused repetitive behaviors, and emetophobia. My services include comprehensive assessment, individual ERP-based therapy, relapse prevention planning, and caregiver or family support when appropriate. Treatment is delivered via telehealth and is tailored to each client’s developmental stage, neurotype, and life context while maintaining fidelity to evidence-based OCD interventions. My clinical work is informed by specialist training and lived experience, supporting attuned, compassionate, and effective care.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

Many of my clients experience OCD alongside depression, generalized anxiety, panic, trauma-related symptoms, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (I am a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist). I also work with health anxiety, body-focused repetitive behaviors, and eating- or emetophobia-related concerns when they intersect with OCD processes.

Treatment is structured around Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) as the primary intervention, with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), behavioral activation, emotion regulation skills, and Person-Centred and Narrative approaches integrated to support engagement, values-based action, and identity development. We work at a pace that balances therapeutic challenge with nervous system regulation, safety, and functional improvement.

Training Description:

I began supporting individuals with OCD through peer work in 2016 and have provided clinical treatment for OCD and related disorders since establishing my private practice in 2020. I hold a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Clinical) from the University of Adelaide. I have completed specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) through the International OCD Foundation and the Massachusetts General Hospital Psychiatry Academy, and engage in ongoing consultation and continuing education focused on evidence-based treatment of OCD and OC-related disorders across developmental stages, including neurodivergent presentations.

Diversity Statement:

I work with clients from diverse cultural, religious, and linguistic backgrounds and am attentive to how OCD symptoms are shaped by family systems, cultural values, and belief structures. I have completed cultural responsiveness training focused on First Nations Australian perspectives on social and emotional wellbeing, as well as training related to refugee and displaced populations, and have supported clients from these communities. My practice is neurodiversity-affirming and inclusive of LGBTQIA+ clients. I adapt ERP to align with clients’ cultural contexts while maintaining treatment integrity, and remain committed to ongoing learning in culturally responsive, trauma-informed care.

My training in cultural responsiveness includes education focused on First Nations Australian perspectives on social and emotional wellbeing, along with learning related to working with refugee and displaced populations. I have integrated this training into clinical practice with individuals from diverse cultural, linguistic, and faith backgrounds. My approach emphasizes cultural humility, collaborative understanding of clients’ belief systems, and adapting evidence-based OCD treatment in ways that are respectful and contextually relevant. I engage in ongoing professional development to deepen my competency in culturally responsive, trauma-informed care and remain attentive to the impact of systemic, historical, and intergenerational factors on mental health.
