I have engaged in the treatment of OCD, BDD, BFRBs tic disorders, and panic disorder since 1982. My practice is dedicated exclusively to the treatment of these issues. I have treated over 2,000 individuals with OCD and related disorders. My main approaches are Cognitive/Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, and Comprehensive Behavioral Therapy (for BFRBs). I also have experience in working with autistic persons.
I have treated OCD and related disorders since 1982 and have been a licensed psychologist since 1985. I hold a Ph.D. in Clinical/School Psychology from Hofstra University. I did pre-doctoral training in OCD treatment with over 3,000 supervised hours at The Institute for Bio-Behavioral Psychiatry with a senior provider in the field. I have taught and supervised at numerous BTTI events since their inception, supervised doctoral students, and presented at 29 IOCDF conferences. I have written self-help books on OCD and BFRBs. I have also lectured nationally and internationally on OCD and related disorders.
I have treated patients from many nations, races, and cultures.
I have taken and passed several cultural competency courses.
