Anthony Pinto PhD
Clinical Directer, Northwell Health OCD Center
As a licensed psychologist and Clinical Director of the Northwell Health OCD Center, I provide evidence-based treatment for adults with OCD and related disorders, including body dysmorphic disorder and OCPD/perfectionism. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy, particularly exposure and response prevention. I also supervise doctoral-level clinicians in psychology and psychiatry. The OCD Center is the only specialized facility in the New York Metropolitan Area to provide evidence-based treatment for OCD that also accepts most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. This enables the Northwell Health OCD Center to make the gold standard treatment for OCD more affordable to the general public.
I received my Ph.D. at Hofstra University and completed my postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University. I am on the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine and the adjunct faculty of Columbia University Medical Center. I have focused most of my career on the study and treatment of OCD and OCPD (obsessive compulsive personality disorder) and have been awarded research grants from the NIMH and Columbia University. I have extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of patients with OCD and am widely published in scientific journals.
