Sloan Post LCSW, PMH-C
Owner and Supervisor of Westchester Parent & Child Therapy
Westchester Parent & Child Therapy provides compassionate care for individuals with OCD and OC-related disorders across the lifespan. We work with children, adults, and perinatal clients, as well as their families, to support their healing journey. Our clinicians use evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s needs, creating a safe space for growth and recovery. We welcome individuals with OCD to work with our experienced team and find the support they deserve.
I have five years of experience working with clients across the OCD spectrum, utilizing evidence-based approaches tailored to their needs. I have specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), including advanced applications for perinatal mental health and ERP for children. Additionally, I incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS) techniques to address OCD-related challenges, helping clients understand and work with their internal experiences. My training includes workshops, clinical supervision, and hands-on experience in ERP interventions, ensuring a comprehensive and client-centered approach to OCD treatment. I remain committed to ongoing education to enhance my skills in treating OCD and related disorders.
At Westchester Parent & Child Therapy, we are committed to providing inclusive, trauma-informed care to individuals from diverse backgrounds. We have extensive experience working with clients of various cultural, racial, and socioeconomic identities, including individuals from historically marginalized communities. Our practice specializes in supporting children, adolescents, and families navigating complex experiences, including trauma, perinatal mental health challenges, and family transitions. We strive to create a welcoming and affirming space where all clients feel seen, heard, and supported in their mental health journey.
Our practice is rooted in a social work foundation, emphasizing cultural competency and an understanding of diverse experiences. We recognize the profound impact of historical and systemic factors on individuals and communities today, including intergenerational trauma. Our approach is informed by training in trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and social justice frameworks, allowing us to support clients with sensitivity to their unique backgrounds. We strive to create an inclusive, affirming space that acknowledges how culture, history, and lived experiences shape mental health and well-being.
