Narrative of Services:

I specialize in the treatment of OCD and anxiety and also support clients with co-occurring concerns. I have worked with over one hundred individuals with OCD, many of whom present with co-occurring conditions such as ADHD, BDD, GAD, and BFRBs. Currently, approximately 85% of my caseload consists of clients seeking treatment for OCD on a weekly basis.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

By utilizing a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) approaches, I provide treatment for OCD and co-occurring disorders.

Training Description:

I hold a Master’s degree in Anthropology from Leiden University in The Netherlands and a Master’s degree in Clinical Counselling from City University of Seattle in Canada. I received specialized training in Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) through the OCD Training School and completed supervised training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) at North Shore CBT Centre in North Vancouver. I completed two years of supervised clinical training and currently have three years of experience practicing as a Registered Clinical Counsellor in British Columbia. Prior to my counselling career, I worked in the social services field for over ten years.

Diversity Statement:

I strive to create a welcoming, affirming space for people from all walks of life. I am an ally of the LGBTQ2+ community and am committed to providing respectful, inclusive care for individuals of diverse identities and experiences. My work is informed by a neurodiversity-affirming framework, recognizing and valuing the different ways people think, feel, and experience the world. I aim to support clients with curiosity, compassion, and openness, and to collaborate in ways that honor each person’s unique strengths, challenges, and goals.

Professional development and ongoing learning are an important part of my practice. I regularly attend professional development courses focused on cultural competency and working with diverse populations to ensure my work remains informed, respectful, and responsive to the needs of the communities I serve. I also engage in ongoing supervision, including participation in supervision groups, where I reflect on my clinical work and deepen my understanding of how to best support clients from diverse backgrounds and identities.
