Narrative of Services:

My practice is focused on treating children, adolescents and adults with OCD, anxiety disorders and body-focused repetitive behaviors such as hair-pulling and skin-picking. Therefore, the majority of the clients I see are dealing with one or more of these disorders. Over the 18 years that I have been in the field, I have treated hundreds of clients of all ages with OCD, anxiety and related disorders in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

I have extensive training and experience in treating disorders that typically co-occur with OCD, such as anxiety and mood disorders, body-focused repetitive behaviors such as hair-pulling and skin-picking, and Tourette Syndrome/tics. Together with the client, and based on the client’s symptoms and goals, we make a collaborative decision about whether to treat the OCD or the co-occurring disorders first, or whether to treat them at the same time.

Training Description:

My training in treating OCD began at the Anxiety and Agoraphobia Treatment Center in Pennsylvania, while I was still in graduate school. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Child and Adolescent OCD, Tic, Trich and Anxiety Group at the University of Pennsylvania, where I provided psychotherapy to children, worked on studies investigating treatment efficacy, supervised students and provided trainings on the treatment of OCD and related disorders to therapists. More recently, I worked as a psychologist at the Center for Emotional Health in New Jersey, where I supervised clinicians and provided psychotherapy to clients with OCD and related disorders.
