Narrative of Services:
About half of my client base presents with OCD, encompassing a wide range of symptom themes. I have provided targeted treatment for harm-related intrusive thoughts, driving and checking compulsions, excessive confessions, contamination fears, and other obsession-compulsion cycles. In addition to therapy, I conduct comprehensive assessment, testing, and diagnosis to clarify presenting concerns and guide individualized treatment planning. This allows for precise, evidence-based care that addresses both OCD and any co-occurring conditions impacting functioning.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
In addition to OCD, I treat a broad range of mental health concerns across the lifespan. My practice frequently supports individuals with autism spectrum disorder, eating disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, trauma-related conditions, and mood disorders. I also work with relationship challenges, behavioral concerns, and life transitions. My approach is flexible and evidence-based, drawing from CBT, ACT, ERP, DBT-informed strategies, and trauma-informed care to match each client’s needs. I collaborate with families, schools, and other providers when appropriate, ensuring comprehensive support. Whether addressing complex co-occurring conditions or single-issue concerns, I tailor treatment to foster lasting change and improved quality of life.
Training Description:
My training has been rooted in extensive post-graduate research and hands-on clinical experience under the direct supervision of a licensed psychologist and a board-certified neuropsychologist. This mentorship has provided me with in-depth expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based interventions across a wide range of mental health conditions, including complex and co-occurring disorders. I have developed advanced skills in OCD treatment, neuropsychological evaluation, and behavioral interventions through structured guidance, case consultation, and ongoing professional development. This combination of scholarly research and practical clinical application has shaped a comprehensive, flexible, and empirically grounded approach to client care.
Diversity Statement:
Before entering private practice, I worked in community mental health, where I gained extensive experience serving a wide range of demographics. This included providing care for unhoused individuals, those living in poverty, and clients with limited access to resources. I worked with diverse cultural backgrounds, age groups, and clinical presentations, often addressing severe and persistent mental illness, co-occurring substance use, crisis stabilization, and trauma-related concerns.
I have taught trauma-informed care to other professionals and school districts, emphasizing the importance of understanding how adverse experiences impact behavior, learning, and emotional regulation. My trainings highlight practical strategies for creating safe, supportive environments while addressing trauma through a “What happened to you?” lens. I integrate cultural competency as a core component, guiding educators and professionals to recognize the influence of culture, identity, and systemic factors on trauma experiences and recovery.
