Narrative of Services:
I run a one man practice that provides experienced treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders. Many of my patients have not had satisfactory outcomes with treatments elsewhere before referral to me. My treated population tends to be functioning professionals. I use medications, cognitive therapy, and behavioral techniques. Although I don't bill insurance directly, I will help patients with forms so they can receive some payment directly from the insurance company.
I have been interested in research and treatment of anxiety disorders and OCD since my junior faculty days at the University of Iowa in 1984 through my time at Harvard and Brown and in private practice in San Francisco. I published 50 to 100 papers on anxiety disorders and have given presentations at national meetings. During this time I have treated anxiety patients (1/4 OCD) with medications and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I have been a member of the IOCDF for many years and attend the Anxiety Disorder Association of America meetings at least every other year.
