Approximately 90% of my practice focuses on anxiety-related issues, while about 10% of focuses specifically on OCD with co-occurring anxiety disorders. My practice is rooted in psycho-education, motivational interviewing, and exposure-based interventions (including Exposure & Response Prevention) for OCD and anxiety disorders.
I begin with a comprehensive assessment to understand how OCD and co-occurring concerns (such as generalized anxiety, depression, or perinatal mood disorders) interact and impact functioning. Treatment prioritizes OCD using evidence-based ERP while simultaneously addressing co-occurring symptoms that may interfere with exposure work.
For anxiety disorders, I integrate exposure-based approaches. For mood concerns, I incorporate behavioral activation and self-compassion practices that support the rigorous nature of ERP. I encourage involvement from the client’s support system and provide education on ways to support confronting discomfort.
I continuously assess how co-occurring symptoms affect treatment progress and adjust our approach accordingly, ensuring sustainable recovery across all presenting concerns.
I have 4 years of experience treating OCD and related disorders. I completed formal training in Exposure and Response Prevention through Summit Professional Education and participated in an ongoing supervision group with an OCD specialist during my post-graduate years. I regularly consult with OCD and anxiety specialists for case collaboration and clinical guidance.
My specialized training includes completion of all required Postpartum Support International (PSI) trainings with certification pending, equipping me to treat perinatal OCD presentations. I consistently pursue continuing education through webinars and workshops focused on OCD and anxiety treatment, maintaining current knowledge of ERP techniques and emerging research.
