Narrative of Services:
Approximately 25% of my caseload consists of clients with OCD and related disorders, primarily within BIPOC populations. I offer services via teletherapy, in-person sessions, and hybrid formats. My approach integrates ACT, CBT, family therapy, and exposure therapy, tailored to each client’s needs. I have specific experience working with POCD presentations and supporting clients through culturally responsive, evidence-based care.
Training Description:
I have several years of experience treating OCD and related disorders, including completion of an extensive training in Relationship OCD (ROCD). I participate in a monthly Complex Anxiety consultation group to deepen my clinical understanding and stay current with evidence-based practices. My ongoing work emphasizes culturally responsive care, incorporating ERP, ACT, and CBT in treating OCD presentations across diverse populations.
Diversity Statement:
As a BIPOC clinician, I primarily serve a diverse caseload, with many clients identifying as BIPOC and presenting with diagnosed or undiagnosed OCD and related symptoms. My practice emphasizes culturally responsive, trauma-informed care that addresses the intersection of identity, stigma, and access to mental health support.
I have attended and facilitated trainings on working with intentionally marginalized populations, implicit bias, and the critical role of intersectionality in clinical practice. I also created a monthly DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) community group for counseling professionals, which is now peer-led and continues to support collective growth and accountability. These ongoing experiences have deepened my cultural competency and inform my commitment to providing affirming, identity-conscious care to diverse populations.
