Over 85% of Dr. Roddick’s clients come to therapy for OCD or related anxiety disorders. Many of them also present with a co-occurring substance use issue.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

Dr. Roddick specializes in treating substance use disorders and other addictive behaviors along with anxiety. Due to his extensive training, research, and experience, he is uniquely qualified to assess how psychological issues such as OCD or PTSD interfere with substance abuse and addiction treatment. He uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to address these problems concurrently. In addition, he employs other evidence-based treatments including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) using the Inhibitory Learning Approach. He is one of the few practitioners in New Florida and New York City, who utilizes evidence-based Interventions for addictions.

Over a decade of experience in helping clients with OCD and related disorders, including co-occurring substance use disorders and trauma.
