D. Michelle Ruiz Deal LPC

My practice is primarily focused on anxiety-based disorders, and currently 70% of my practice is dedicated to OCD.

I have been treating OCD for over three years beginning with my training from a provider in Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety followed by training through the BTTI (training arm of IOCDF) for pediatric and adult OCD treatment. I have also completed supervision with a faculty member from the BTTI.

Aside from the mandatory training required annually by Texas on cultural competence, I have actively sought and participated in training through workshops and conferences dedicated to cultural competence. I serve as the president of the Texas Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development and division of the Texas Counseling Association.
