Narrative of Services:

CBT is an evidence based approach and has more research to support its use than any other form of therapy. CBT has different approaches for specific disorders such as Cognitive Processing Therapy for posttraumatic stress disorder and Exposure and Response Prevention for obsessive compulsive disorder. In the case of some problems like obsessive compulsive disorder it is really the only therapy proven to be effective. CBT relies on collaboration between therapist and client. It is an active and often short-term therapy that produces measurable results. CBT is also flexible and can be adapted to meet the needs of any client.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

OCD is often accompanied by other disorders such as depression. Effective treatment of OCD involves addressing these other problems and are often improved as OCD symptoms decrease.

Training Description:

I am a Cognitive Behavior Therapist (CBT) and I have extensive training and experience in treating disorders such as posttraumatic stress disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder. I also have training and experience in treating anxiety, anger and depression. I have worked in the mental health field for almost 20 years and I have helped a lot of people get better so they could live more meaningful and productive lives. My job is to help you feel less distress so that it is easier for you to do the things you want and need to do.
