I utilize a number of evidence-based practices (ACT, CBT, ERP, MI, SPACE, HRT) in order to meet you where you are and provide informed treatment based on your specific symptom presentation. Almost all of my clients present with OCD or an OC related disorder, and I continue to educate myself on the latest research regarding OCD and OC related treatment.
GAD, Mood disorders, Social anxiety, phobias
I completed my post-doctoral fellowship at the Depression and Anxiety Speciality Clinic of Chicago (DASC). I have been extensively trained in and utilize a variety of evidence based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy(ACT). In addition, I am trained in Supportive Parenting of Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), a parent-based treatment program for children and adolescents with anxiety, OCD, and related disorders.
My doctorate degree is from Roosevelt University- a social justice focused university. Diversity and inclusion efforts and education was woven into every part of our program. Additionally, I prioritized training in environments that served a diverse population of clients, including therapeutic day schools and hospitals. I continue to educate myself on how OCD presents differently for people of different backgrounds and identities, and always engage my clients in a conversation regarding identities that are important to them.
