Stacy Shaup PhD
Dr. Shaup’s outpatient practice focuses on treating adults with OCD, anxiety disorders, BDD, and BFRBs (hair pulling and skin picking). She utilizes evidence-based treatments like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), including inference-based cognitive-behavioral therapy (I-CBT) for OCD and exposure with response prevention (ERP) for OCD, BDD, and anxiety disorders. For BFRBs, she utilizes Comprehensive Behavioral treatment (ComB).
Dr. Shaup worked for 10 years at the OCD Resource Center of Florida and now manages her own private practice to continue her specialty work. Dr. Shaup is currently a member of the IOCDF as well as ADAA, ABCT, and the TLC Foundation for BFRBs.
Dr. Shaup earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in 2003. From 2004-2005, Dr. Shaup completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Anxiety Disorders Center of St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute. She provided outpatient and intensive treatment to children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety and OCD spectrum disorders, with a supervisor who was on the Scientific Advisory Board of the IOCDF and the Clinical Advisory Board of ADAA. She then worked as a licensed psychologist at the OCD Resource Center of Florida from 2006-2016. Dr. Shaup opened her own practice in 2016 and continues there to this day.
