Saharah Shrout MA, LPC-S
I work exclusively with clients with all forms of OCD and related OC spectrum disorders including Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety, Phobias, Trichotillomania and Dermatillomania. My treatment approach focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with an emphasis on Exposure/Response Prevention (ERP). I treat adults and adolescents, and offer individual therapy, Telehealth services, and in-home treatment (on a case-by-case basis).
I am an advocate for increasing public awareness about proper treatment for anxiety disorders and working to reduce stigma. I have served on the board of OCD Texas, an IOCDF affiliate, since 2010 and now hold the Volunteer Chair position.
I have been treating OCD, OC-Spectrum Disorders and Anxiety Disorders since 2003. I was trained at The Menninger Clinic OCD Program and went on to become the Program Manager of the Houston OCD Program where I worked in outpatient, intensive outpatient and residential treatment settings. I have been trained in SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) treatment, the Bergen 4-Day Treatment (B4DT) model and am a graduate of the IOCDF’s Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI). I am now in a Private Practice setting in the Cypress/NW Houston area.
