Brooke M. Smith, PhD
Narrative of Services:
Dr. Smith is a licensed psychologist who specializes in the treatment of anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, and trauma-related issues. The majority of her clinical work is in the area of OCD and related disorders.
Although Dr. Smith is welcoming of individuals of all identities and backgrounds, she has specialized training working with Veterans and members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Dr. Smith provides telehealth services in the state of Michigan.
Dr. Smith is a licensed psychologist in the state of Michigan. She trained with experts in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and OCD at the University of Nevada, Reno and Utah State University. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from Utah State University and completed her internship at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System, American Lake Division. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at Western Michigan University. Dr. Smith has been treating anxiety and obsessive-compulsive and related issues since 2013.
Dr. Smith is committed to equity and justice in her professional and personal life. She has attended numerous trainings and workshops on issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Dr. Smith also teaches an undergraduate course on diversity and inclusion at Western Michigan University.
