Narrative of Services:

I have been working with people with OCD/OC Related disorders for four years. Approximately 50% of my practice are individuals with OCD and/or an OC related disorders. I particularly enjoy working with:

– high achievers, including: athletes, ambitious students, adults in demanding jobs who feel pressure to perform (paramedics, doctors, military personnel etc)

– twice-exceptional individuals (gifted individuals who also have a mental health condition and/or learning disability)

-emerging adults i.e. ages 16 – 26

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

I use comprehensive DBT to work with people who have emotion dysregulation challenges, including self-harm and suicidal thoughts. Using elements of DBT, CBT and executive function coaching, I co-design treatment with people who have both OCD and ADHD to make the treatment targets engaging, feasible, and effective. For example, we’ll make activity trackers and do exposures that capture your attention – using a microscope to look at objects, trips to mall to practice paying a cashier, walks around the park where you might high five runners etc.

Training Description:

I completed my MA in Applied Child Psychology at the University of Washington. I received extensive training in CBT and ERP for OCD and anxiety disorders at the Evidence Based Treatment Centers of Seattle – Child Anxiety Center. I am also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) as a behavioral health first responder for the WA DOH’s COVID-19 pediatric response team. I completed a post master’s DBT fellowship at Cadence Child and Adolescent Therapy. I am currently in the process of getting my DBT-Linehan board certification. I also have experience providing CBT and FBT for restrictive eating and anorexia.

Diversity Statement:

I particularly enjoy working with immigrant families, as well as international and exchange students.

I have lived and worked in Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Ecuador. I also have received training from the Center for Deployment Psychology at the Armed Services University to competently serve military personnel and their families. I currently work with several active duty military personnel.
