Narrative of Services:
Approximately 50% of my practice is exposure-based, either for OCD and related disorders, or other anxiety disorders (i.e., specific phobia, social anxiety, panic disorder, agoraphobia). I also treat PTSD using Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. I have treated over 100 clients with OCD in my 11 years of practice. I have been on the IOCDF website since 2013 but I did not receive notification of my expired membership and was unable to renew.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
Eating disorders (using family-based treatment or cognitive-behavioral treatment), ARFID social anxiety, specific phobias, panic disorder, agoraphobia, panic disorder, health anxiety (using exposure therapy), BFRB (ComB and Habit Reversal) and PTSD (using PE and CPT). In the case of eating disorders and OCD I typically treat the ED first as that often has more serious health implications and then move on to OCD. In the case of PTSD, I usually target the OCD first to make some progress and gain traction on exposures and then move onto the PTSD.
Training Description:
I have been treating patients with OCD for 12 years, including a post-doctoral fellowship at the Evidence-Based Treatment Centers of Seattle (EBTCS) from 2012-2014, as a staff psychologist at EBTCS and then in private practice since 2020. I have also attended the BTTI training and have also conducted local workshops (6 hours) with a colleague in Central Oregon teaching other providers about the treatment of OCD and other anxiety disorders with exposure therapy.
Diversity Statement:
I complete cultural competency courses annually for CE requirements. I have also had the privilege of working with BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and individuals of different ethnicities and cultures from different parts of the world (i.e., first generation Eastern African populations, Turkish clients, Greek clients, Indigenous clients, and South East Asian clients). I have done my best to navigate these cases respectfully and sought consultation when needed.
