Narrative of Services:

My practice at this time consists of 75% of my client caseload presenting with OCD or a similar anxiety-based disorder. I am continuing to develop my niche of offering services to focus on OCD and anxiety. During the past two years, while it is hard to quantify, I have worked with an estimated 20 clients clinically diagnosed with OCD. I have worked with many, many others that may not have met full criteria for OCD but were suffering from anxiety and strong OCD tendencies.

Facilities accessible by clients of all mobility levels: Yes

Training Description:

I have been in private practice for over two years with the focus of treating OCD and anxiety disorders. Before I switched to private practice, I worked in an agency for 3 years that I worked significantly with anxiety based disorders. I have furthered my development in skills for treating OCD and anxiety disorders with multiple trainings in intensive education in using CBT, ACT, and ERP for OCD and anxiety disorders. I am also currently enrolled in courses through the Massachusetts General Hospital for OCD treatment. I plan to attend complete my BTTi training in 2019.

Diversity Statement:

One area that I have had experience working with is the LGBTQ community and the ways that OCD can affect clients and their sexuality. I have also worked with clients from diverse backgrounds and cultures through my time at the agency as well as in private practice. While working through my agency, I worked with many people from a lower socioeconomic population.

My undergraduate program and graduate program focused heavily on developing cultural competency while working with diverse clients. I engaged in a few classes where the main assignment was to interview and develop a case formulation for a client taking into consideration family background but more significantly the impact that their cultural identity played in their development. Through this assignment, significant focus was put into researching and understanding the client from a diverse perspective. I have also received professional training for treating client from diverse backgrounds through my previous employment.
