At my independent private practice, Equilibrium CBT, 25-40% of my clients are seeking specialized treatment in OCD. The remainder have some other anxiety or anxiety-related (i.e., trichotillomania, hoarding) disorder. After a thorough assessment, I create a tailored treatment plan for each client and we discuss how you want to approach your treatment. I typically provide weekly therapy, but can provide more frequent meetings when necessary. I frequently conduct exposures in-session at a pace the client chooses. Once treatment has concluded we create a relapse prevention plan and I am available for booster sessions as-needed.
I have experience treating ADHD, PTSD, GAD, and panic alongside OCD. Depending on the client presentation, I often alternate sessions, increase the frequency of sessions, or split up the time spent in-session on the separate issues.
I specialize in the evidence-based treatment of OCD, OC-spectrum, and anxiety disorders. In addition to working in two separate CBT clinics, My training included two years of advanced postdoctoral training in a speciality center for anxiety and OCD. As a graduate from the IOCDF BTTI training and with 9+ years of clinical experience working with a wide range of clients with OCD from diverse backgrounds, I have gained significant experience customizing science-backed treatments to fit my clients’ goals. I do not take a one-size fits-all approach and incorporate ERP, ACT, CBT, DBT, and HRT when appropriate.
During my graduate studies, I actively participated in a number of multicultural trainings to better understand how to serve underrepresented and marginalized populations. I have experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals as well as folks from various cultural backgrounds. In my clinical practice I strive to offer an environment of respect, openness, appreciation, and safety to all of my clients.
