Elevate Counseling GVL provides outpatient psychotherapy for adults and adolescents, with a significant portion of the practice focused on OCD and related anxiety disorders. Approximately 30% of my clinical work involves treating individuals with OCD and OCD-related concerns, including intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors. Over the course of my career, I have treated dozens of individuals with OCD and co-occurring anxiety, mood, and trauma-related conditions. Services include evidence-based treatment such as CBT with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), trauma-informed care, and individualized treatment planning.
I treat co-occurring conditions commonly seen with OCD, including anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety, panic, social anxiety), mood disorders such as depression and trauma-related symptoms. Treatment begins with a comprehensive assessment and emphasizes evidence-based care, including CBT with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, CBT informed strategies for anxiety and mood disorders, and EMDR for trauma when indicated. I provide weekly individual therapy, ongoing symptom monitoring, emotion regulation and distress-tolerance skills, collaborative goal setting, and coordination with prescribing providers to support individualized treatment.
I have over 25 years of clinical experience as a licensed clinician treating anxiety disorders, including OCD and OCD-related conditions, across outpatient and higher-acuity settings. My training includes graduate-level education in evidence-based psychotherapy, ongoing continuing education in CBT and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and specialized workshops focused on OCD assessment and treatment such as the BTTI training with IOCDF. I integrate ERP with trauma-informed approaches and have experience treating co-occurring anxiety, mood, and trauma-related disorders. I regularly consult current clinical literature and engage in professional development to ensure treatment aligns with best practices in OCD care.
My practice serves a diverse client population across age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, and religious and cultural identities. I approach OCD treatment through a culturally responsive, trauma-informed lens, recognizing how culture, identity, and systemic factors influence symptom expression, help-seeking, and treatment engagement. I strive to create an affirming, inclusive therapeutic environment and adapt evidence-based interventions to align with each client’s cultural values, lived experiences, and strengths.
My education and clinical training include coursework and continuing education in cultural competency and ethics. I have extensive experience working with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, socioeconomic, gender, and sexual identity backgrounds across multiple clinical settings. I use a culturally responsive, trauma-informed approach and remain attentive to how culture, identity, and systemic factors influence symptoms, engagement, and treatment. Ongoing professional development supports inclusive, respectful, and ethical care.
