Kiki Tilton LMFT
Owner
Tilton Counseling Center is a Christian counseling practice that specializes in evidence-based treatment of anxiety, OCD, chronic pain and trauma, and related conditions. On average,
60% of her practice is dedicated to treating OCD and related anxiety disorders.
We offer in-person appointments at our office in Tomball, TX, and we offer virtual appointments for clients in Texas, Washington, and Wyoming.
At the Tilton Counseling Center, we help adults on their healing journey to transform their lives from pain to peace. Together, we’ll work towards calming your mind, cultivating lasting hope, and fostering profound positive changes so you can reclaim your life. My mission is to help you break free from challenging emotions and the profound impact of trauma and emotional or chronic pain, so you can truly thrive again, not just cope. We offer a distinctive approach that goes beyond traditional talk therapy. Our integrated services combine compassionate individual Christian counseling with innovative Neurotherapy, also called Direct Neurofeedback and EMDR, and group therapy for chronic pain and parenting skills.
Kiki Tilton holds an MA in Marital Family Therapy from Bethel Seminary-University and a BS in Bible and Psychology from CIU.
With 5 years of experience treating OCD and 7 years with anxiety, Kiki is specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and EMDR. She received advanced training at NOCD for two years and is certified in integrating EMDR with ERP techniques under Sandra Paulsen, Ph.D.
As a Certified Direct Neurofeedback Practitioner, Kiki effectively combines DNF, ERP, and EMDR to achieve lasting results and help clients reach their treatment goals.
A Diverse Upbringing:
Kiki was born in the United Kingdom and raised in The Netherlands where she grew up in a multicultural household in the Netherlands (Europe), with an American mother and a Dutch father. Her upbringing fostered a deep appreciation for diverse cultures, making her feel at home among international communities. She understands the unique challenges of living far from loved ones and the challenges to assimilate into a new culture, a perspective further shaped by her military upbringing: her father served in the Dutch Navy, and both her mother and husband served in the U.S. Marines.
Kiki possesses extensive experience working with diverse populations. Her professional background includes foster care, elderly services, and an MFT internship at one of San Diego’s largest homeless shelters. She has also provided support for homeless individuals and their families (including those with HIV) and low-income families at a community mental health center.
