Our services, ranging from psychotherapy to psychiatric medication, help treat the unique and varied needs of our clients. Our clinical director, my colleague, and myself all attended the 29th Annual OCD Conference to develop services for mild to moderate OCD at the outpatient level. We provided psychoeducation to our colleagues upon return. Currently, we have approximately 10% of our practice treating OCD and OC related disorders and looking to expand.
I hold a Masters in Social Work from Marywood University (CSWE Accredited) and am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts. I attended the 29th Annual OCD Conference and am developing outpatient aftercare for mild to moderate OCD along with my colleagues. I provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive care. Other clinical specialties include mood disorders, trauma, medical complexity, LGBTQ+ issues, perinatal mental health, eating disorders, child development, autism, and substance use.
I have worked in both the greater Philadelphia and now the greater Boston area. Both rich in diversity! An estimated 15% of my current caseload identifies as LGBTQ. Approximately 20% of my caseload has a disability impacted community mobility. I have worked at length with families who practice Islam, Christianity, Judaism, and agnostic/atheism. To varying degrees of fluency, I speak English (native), French (proficient), Greek (conversational), American Sign Language (conversational), and Spanish (conversational). I have used these languages in sessions across multiple roles.
Prior work experience includes working with those who are deaf/HOH, physically disabled, require assistive communication devices, and speak English as a second language. I have worked with families through religious seasons such as Ramadan, navigating daily stressors with infants/toddlers in relation to religious guidelines. I promote a strengths based atmosphere for LGBTQ+ folks to discover themselves.
