Clinical Director

Narrative of Services:

I am a psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University, where I help people struggling with anxiety disorders. Approximately 90% of my practice focuses on individuals with OCD and related disorders in my private practice. I provide individual therapy, an OCD support group, and a separate ERP-based skills group. I specialize in evidence-based treatments, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and offer services in both English and Spanish.

Training Description:

I have over 10 years of international experience treating individuals with OCD and related disorders across outpatient and academic settings. My training includes a clinical a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University, where I continue to serve as a psychologist and educator. I have received specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), completed advanced workshops in OCD treatment, and regularly provide consultation and training on evidence-based interventions for OCD.

Diversity Statement:

I provide culturally responsive OCD treatment to multicultural populations, with a focus on Latin-Americans and internationals. I offer services in both English and Spanish and have extensive experience working with Spanish-speaking individuals and families. My practice emphasizes cultural humility, language accessibility, and an understanding of how cultural beliefs shape the experience and expression of OCD. I also collaborate with community-based organizations to support underserved populations

Treatment Groups:

We provide two different groups. For more info, email at info@thebaypsychotherapy.com
1. Support group: A welcoming, therapist-facilitated space for individuals living with OCD to connect, share, and feel understood. This group focuses on reducing isolation, exploring lived experiences, and fostering mutual support in a safe, judgment-free environment. It’s not about treatment—it’s about community.
2. OCD skills group: A structured, psychoeducational group designed to help participants learn and apply core tools for managing OCD. Grounded in evidence-based treatment (especially Exposure and Response Prevention), this group covers practical strategies for facing fears, resisting compulsions, and building confidence through weekly exercises and discussion.
