Valerie Vorstenbosch PhD, CPsych
Dr. Vorstenbosch practices in the areas of clinical and counselling psychology. She is licensed to work with adults residing in Ontario, Canada and she offers individual psychological services (i.e., comprehensive assessment and treatment) for a range of presenting issues, including OCD and related disorders, as well as co-occurring disorders, such as trauma related disorders, anxiety disorders, and depressive disorders. Her primary interest includes OCD and related disorders, including skin picking, hair pulling, and body dysmorphic disorder, and approximately 50% of her caseload is individuals presenting with OCD and related disorders.
Dr. Vorstenbosch offers evidence-based treatment for co-occurring disorders including trauma related disorders (e.g., Posttraumatic Stress Disorder), anxiety disorders (e.g., Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, and Panic Disorder), and depressive disorders (e.g., Major Depressive Disorder and Persistent Depressive Disorder).
Dr. Vorstenbosch received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) in 2013. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship through Frederick W. Thompson Anxiety Disorders Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Ontario, which offers specialized services for OCD and related disorders, including hair pulling, skin picking, and body dysmorphic disorder. She has completed a number of workshops and advanced trainings in OCD and related disorders, and has also received a certification in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International.
