Megan L Wagner PhD, BCB
For the last 6 years that I’ve been in private practice, well over half of my time has been dedicated to helping individuals who have OCD and/or an OC Related Disorder, often with a co-occurring issue (e.g., GAD, depression, panic disorder, trauma, chronic health issues). Working with me may include a combo of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT, which includes exposure and response prevention or “ERP”), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindful self compassion (MSC), and the principles of biofeedback (I’m certified in biofeedback by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance).
My interest in OCD and OC Spectrum Disorders began in 2006 while project managing several OCD and anxiety research studies as a PhD student at George Mason University, which culminated in a Master’s thesis on OCD. I received intensive clinical training in OCD/OC Spectrum Disorders at UCLA as part of my predoctoral internship in 2009-2010. Since receiving my PhD in 2011, I have continued my education and training in this area with national organizations such as the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT).
