Narrative of Services:

Have treated more than 200 people with OCD, BFRBs, TICs, anxiety and depression related conditions and working with individuals and their families. Over 90% of practice is focused on treatment for OCD and anxiety related conditions.

Specialize in the treatment of OCD and anxiety related conditions including all themes of OCD (ROCD, SO- OCD, POCD, Harm OCD, Scrupulosity, Contamination etc) as well as panic, agoraphobia, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, BFRBs and TICs. Trained to work with children, adolescents and adults and have experience working with complex cases and clients with multiple co-occuring conditions.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

Use ERP to treat OCD and anxiety related conditions (OCD, GAD, social anxiety, panic, agoraphobia, phobias), use Behavior Activation to address depression, use HRT to treat BFRBs and TICs and use ERP, EMDR, Trauma Incident Reduction and TF-CBT to address PTSD and trauma. Work through a trauma-informed and solution focused (evidenced base treatment) lens for individual and family therapy.

Training Description:

Completed extensive training in ERP, HRT and Behavior Activation as well as specialized training to work with pediatric OCD in children and adolescent population. Training received from NOCD Academy, IOCDF and Medical University of South Carolina. Training for Trauma Incident Reduction from Trauma Resolution Center and for EMDR from EMDRIA approved EMDR Consulting. Hold Masters in Family Therapy and licensed in NY and FL, seeing clients for more than 8 years. Worked for NOCD for more than 3 years and have lived experience with OCD and anxiety since childhood.

Received Cultural Sensitivity Training Certification. Have extensive experience working with diverse populations both in private practice, mental health agency setting and public schools. Worked with at-risk youth in alternative education schools and programs for children and adolescents who have been suspended or expelled from school for substance use or behavioral issues, with groups from detention center doing equine assisted psychotherapy and with clients in the US and abroad from diverse backgrounds. Serve on the advisory board of Hope Unlimited for Children, a faith based non-profit organization serving and rehabilitating mortally at risk youth in Brazil.
