Narrative of Services:

Our clinicians have provided thousands of hours of therapy to clients with OCD and related disorders, including tics, Tourette syndrome, trichotillomania, body dysmorphic disorder, specific phobias, social anxiety, and generalized anxiety. Anxiety and related disorders are the most common issue facing clients at Old Town Psychology. We work with clients across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults. We use evidence-based approaches, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

In addition to OCD and OCD spectrum disorders, our therapists treat depression, social anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, specific phobias, panic disorder, and insomnia. We also work with clients seeking support with life transitions, relationship issues, and coping with chronic medical concerns. We strive to provide a supportive collaborative environment to deliver evidence-based treatments tailored to your individual needs.

Training Description:

Old Town Psychology is an award-winning psychology practice in Alexandria, VA. We have multiple OCD specialists who have received advanced training and supervision in treating OCD, OCD spectrum disorders, and anxiety disorders. Moreover, we have staff who are established experts in the field, including serving in leadership positions at the International OCD Foundation, presenting at national conferences, and conducting trainings for other clinicians on how to provide culturally sensitive care to clients with OCD.
