Cognitive behavioral treatment for obsessive thoughts among adolescents

Mark H. Freeston, PhD & Christo Todorov, MD

Centre de Recherche Fernand-Seguin (Montreal, Quebec, Canada)

Award Amount: $19,987

OCD creates long term costs for patients who develop it early on, and beginning treatment early on in adolescence is crucial for better outcomes in the future.

This study by Drs. Freeston and Todorov sought to test the efficacy of a CBT module developed by Dr. Freeston, with the eventual goal of creating a manual and workshops to help treatment-resistant OCD patients.
