As the new Fund Development Manager at the IOCDF, I’ve had the privilege of meeting a very dedicated Board of Directors here. In fact, I was able to met Jo-Ann Winston, one of our newest board members, since she continues to volunteer her time in our national office in Boston. One of the first topics we discussed was something close to her (and now my!) heart—the Winston Flowers Charity in Bloom Program. “Winston Flowers, my family’s business, has a wonderful program we call “Charity in Bloom.” This program was created to raise both awareness and funds for nonprofit organizations. Here is how it works: Each month, we partner with a different organization and 20% of all the proceeds from a specially designed “Charity in Bloom” arrangement are shared with this partner to support their initiatives. Winston Flowers works with florists all around the country to create these bouquets, so no matter where you are, anyone can send a bouquet to a friend or loved one within the United States.”
