In 1986, a small group of individuals with OCD in Connecticut got together with the idea that they could help others who may be experiencing the same problems, and formed the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation. They invited Dr. Wayne Goodman to be their first Scientific Advisory Board chair, thus making sure that best practices and evidence-based treatment recommendations were part of the Foundation’s mission from the beginning.

For the past 30 years the Foundation’s mission has remained the same: to help ALL individuals affected by OCD and related disorders to live full and productive lives. Our name may have changed, but our unflagging commitment to the goals set by our Founders 30 years ago has not.

This October, during OCD Awareness Week, we invite you to join us for a celebration of the Founders and Early Members of the Foundation, as well as those who have helped to pave the way for the Foundation’s growth and success.

We invite you to share your story of how things have changed for individuals with OCD in the last 30 years, and how there is still is room for change in the next 30 years.

Stay tuned for more details about this event! Tickets go on sale soon.
