Treatment can be tailored to fit individual needs, especially for adults balancing work and students managing academic demands. Options include traditional weekly sessions featuring exposure and response prevention (ERP), cognitive therapy homework, and more intensive formats with multiple weekly sessions.
For those needing a higher level of care, our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) now offers a hybrid model that integrates in-person, virtual, and in vivo ERP sessions. This allows participants to receive effective treatment while maintaining important daily routines. Throughout the treatment process, we continually assess individual progress and adjust the approach as necessary. Our aim is to provide flexible, effective OCD treatment that aligns with each person’s unique circumstances and supports lasting recovery.

Diane Davey, one of the OCDI's Co-Founders, will retire from the OCDI on June 30. After 40 years at McLean Hospital, and almost 30 years at the OCDI, Davey will move on after a long and rewarding career. "The OCDI has been an amazing ride" said Davey. "It's hard to imagine all the people that have come through our doors that have been touched by the program. From patients and families, to trainees and other staff, it's just been a place that has had great meaning for so many people. I will miss it!" Davey credited original founder Michael Jenike for making the OCDI a reality. "It was always Mike's dream, and we will always carry on his vision." PARC is excited to share that we are launching a new Parent/Caregiver Skills & Education group this summer as part of our programming for families of adolescents (ages 12-18) enrolled in our DBT-X Track. As part of PARC’s Intensive Program for OCD and Anxiety Related Disorders, a partial hospital program (PHP) that provides evidence-based services for youth with a primary concern of OCD and/or anxiety, our DBT-X Track augments intensive exposure-based treatment with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). We are recruiting teens with primary OCD and/or anxiety who also have co-occurring DBT treatment targets, including suicidal and non-suicidal self-injurious (NSSI) behaviors, and emotional and interpersonal dysregulation. PARC is insurance-based, and local housing accommodation at the Ronald McDonald House is available to out-of-state families participating in the partial program.

The Concord Center specializes in evidence-based care across the lifespan, including CBT, DBT, and ACT approaches.
This past year, we launched our Accelerated Outpatient Programs (AOPs) for adolescents and adults with moderate to severe anxiety and/or obsessive compulsive disorders. These programs cater to those who have not benefitted from traditional weekly therapy or are stepping down from a higher level of care. We prioritize interventions drawn from CBT with an emphasis on ERP, alongside select DBT & ACT strategies. Clients are paired with ERP coaches who meet them in the community to complete exposures related to top problems & goals. Parents of participating adolescents complete a SPACE-based curriculum to target reducing accommodations to their child's anxiety/OCD in the home.
We also offer a variety of groups and individual services. Our newest group for Social Anxiety & Related Disorders is designed for high schoolers and provides an opportunity for live ERP practice with trained professionals. Staff additionally hold expertise in treating BFRBs using the COMB model, which they have specifically adapted for younger populations and their families. The Westwood Institute for Anxiety Disorders utilizes an integrative mind-body approach to address severe, treatment-resistant OCD and comorbid conditions. Our multidisciplinary program coordinates care with top specialists in endocrinology, gynecology, gastroenterology, internal medicine, and immunology, ensuring comprehensive medical and psychiatric assessment.
This unique integration allows us to treat patients whose OCD is complicated by physical health issues, providing tailored interventions such as Exposure and Response Prevention (EXRP), Mind-Body Behavioral Therapy (MBBT), and cognitive restructuring through therapeutic writing. We specialize in complex cases, including those with undiagnosed medical comorbidities or overlapping conditions like PTSD, BDD, and eating disorders.
We invite referrals of patients who have not improved with standard outpatient care and may benefit from a more intensive, personalized treatment plan. Thrive Wellness: Specialized Care for OCD and Anxiety Disorders
Thrive Wellness provides expert, team-based treatment for individuals with OCD and related disorders. Services are available in-person and virtually to support clients and families with flexible, comprehensive care.
Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
Programs are offered in-person for children, adolescents (ages 8–20), and adults (18+) experiencing OCD, severe anxiety, panic disorder, or ARFID. A virtual IOP is also available for adults. Treatment includes Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and in vivo exposures, with active family involvement.
Multidisciplinary Team Approach
Clients receive coordinated care from a team of psychotherapists, psychiatric providers, occupational therapists, registered dietitians, internal medicine providers, and care coordinators—addressing all aspects of recovery.
Family and Caregiver Support
Families play a key role in recovery. Thrive engages caregivers to reduce accommodation behaviors and support exposure work at home. We also offer SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), a parent-focused, evidence-based approach that equips families with practical tools to support anxious children and improve family dynamics.
