Description:

At Stress and Anxiety Services, we understand how overwhelming it can be to find the right help—especially when anxiety, OCD, trauma, or depression is already making everyday life feel difficult. Our goal is to make that process easier by providing thoughtful, specialized care grounded in evidence-based treatment and tailored to the needs of each individual and family we serve.

We are an independent specialty practice serving children, adolescents, and adults. Rather than simply being a group of clinicians who share an office, our team is united by a shared clinical focus and commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based treatment for anxiety-related disorders. We are known throughout New Jersey and beyond for our expertise in approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

While we work with a wide range of concerns—including generalized anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, phobias, PTSD, stress, and depression—Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is the most common condition we treat. We understand that OCD and anxiety can affect far more than symptoms alone; they can interfere with school, work, relationships, family life, independence, and the things that matter most to a person. Treatment is therefore not simply about reducing symptoms. It is about helping people get back to living their lives.

We also understand that effective treatment has to fit into real life. Children have school. Adults have work. Parents are balancing jobs, appointments, activities, and the needs of multiple family members. Getting specialized mental health care should not create another impossible burden.

That understanding has shaped how our practice has grown.

When some of our clients needed a higher level of care, particularly for OCD and related anxiety disorders, we repeatedly encountered the same problem: we could not always find an intensive outpatient program that offered the specialized treatment we believed they needed while also being realistic about the demands of their everyday lives.

Rather than accept that gap in care, we created the kind of program we had been looking for.

Our virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides specialized, evidence-based care while allowing clients to remain connected to their homes, families, schools, jobs, and communities. The virtual format and scheduling are intentionally designed around the realities of busy lives, because we believe people should not have to choose between receiving appropriate treatment and maintaining the important parts of their lives.

The same philosophy guides our telehealth services. We have offered therapy through secure telehealth with the same emphasis on clinical quality, privacy, and professionalism that we bring to in-person care. We use a HIPAA-compliant platform, and clinicians providing telehealth receive specialized training so that virtual treatment is not simply in-person therapy moved onto a screen, but care delivered thoughtfully and appropriately for the telehealth environment.

Above all, we want clients and families to know that you do not have to figure out the next step alone. Whether someone needs weekly outpatient therapy, more intensive support, or guidance in determining what level of care is appropriate, we approach treatment with expertise, collaboration, and an understanding that there is a real person—and often a whole family—behind every diagnosis.

Our aim is straightforward: to provide specialized, evidence-based care that is clinically excellent, accessible, and designed to help people return to the lives they want to be living.
