Narrative of Services:
I am a clinician in training, providing services under the supervision of an experienced OCD specialist. Currently, about 80% of my caseload includes clients with OCD and related disorders. I assist in delivering evidence-based treatments such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while also supporting clients with co-occurring anxiety and mood symptoms. My work is trauma-informed and collaborative, aiming to reduce OCD symptoms and improve overall functioning. I continue to develop my skills in this area under close supervision to ensure effective, compassionate care.
Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:
I treat co-occurring disorders commonly linked with OCD, such as depression, generalized anxiety, and trauma-related symptoms. My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing from Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and EMDR when appropriate. Treatment is collaborative and paced to balance effective OCD interventions with the client’s emotional capacity, especially when trauma or mood symptoms are present.
Training Description:
I am currently gaining clinical experience in treating OCD and related disorders through supervised practice at a private practice specializing in anxiety and trauma. My training includes hands-on application of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), supplemented by ongoing trainings focused on evidence-based OCD treatments. I receive regular supervision from a licensed clinician who is a member of the IOCDF.
Diversity Statement:
My education and training emphasize cultural competency through coursework on multicultural counseling and trauma-informed care. I have experience working with diverse populations across various ages, backgrounds, and identities, including clients from different racial, ethnic, and LGBTQ+ communities. I prioritize creating a respectful, inclusive, and affirming therapeutic environment, tailoring interventions to honor each client’s unique cultural context and values. Ongoing supervision and professional development support my commitment to understanding systemic factors that impact mental health and to addressing disparities with sensitivity and humility.
