Narrative of Services:

WestCoast Wellness and Therapy provides evidence-based, holistic therapeutic services to children, families and adults. Our special programs support children and adults with OCD, Selective Mutism and ADHD. We provide various services depending on the needs of the individual and/or the family, including weekly therapy, intensive therapy in the office and in the home, and coaching for parents and family members of individuals with OCD.

WestCoast Wellness is owned by Christy Tadros, LPCC. As a women of color herself, Christy is comfortable and confident working with children, adolescents and adults from ethnically diverse backgrounds and who identify as LGBTQ.

Treatment of Co-occurring Disorders:

The therapists on our team are also highly skilled in working with ADHD, other anxiety, Autism and Trauma. It is common that OCD is not the the only challenge and we are prepared to assess and co-create a treatment plan that prioritizes your goals and values.

Training Description:

Christy is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and holds Masters degrees in Counseling Psychology and Education from Teacher’s College of Columbia University. She began working with children with OCD as an intern at the Child Mind Institute in NYC in 2013. Since she has attended the intensive pediatric BTTI OCD training and successfully worked with many children and adolescents with OCD. Her approach combines Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Diversity Statement:

Christy’s masters degree, from Teacher’s College at Columbia University, focused primarily on multicultural competency and treatment. She has extensive training working with ethnically diverse populations.
She provides anti-racism and cultural sensitivity trainings to organizations and other therapists.

Christy has completed years of training in cultural sensitivity and incorporating anti-racist values into the therapy practice. She has also completed trainings and received supervision on working with LGBTQIA+ clients of color.
