Description:

Cambridge Psychology Group (CPG) was founded by Harvard-trained psychologists with a focus on specialized treatment for anxiety, OCD, and related disorders at multiple levels of care, including weekly individual therapy, group therapy, and intensive outpatient programs. We are devoted to offering the most innovative care for clients with OCD, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, agoraphobia, social anxiety disorder, specific phobias, skin picking/hair pulling, BDD, and other related disorders.

Our practice has also expanded to bring onboard experts in a wide range of areas, including specialists in depression, trauma, substance use, ADHD, ASD, personality disorders, and mood disorders, enabling us to offer comprehensive care for individuals with co-occurring conditions.

Our clinicians have extensive experience providing the most effective treatments for OCD, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Additionally, we offer a variety of other therapeutic approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused treatments, behavioral sleep medicine, and executive functioning skills, recognizing how these methods can support related challenges.

We also offer a range of group therapy options for clients with OCD and related disorders, including our OCD Skills & Support group and our Managing Perfectionism group. Other groups include our Brief DBT Skills group and our ACT for Anxiety and Depression group.

We provide flexible support through in-office sessions, community-based interventions, and home visits to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

Diversity Statement:

CPG actively seeks out staff of diverse backgrounds to create a professional community that reflects the diversity of our clients and society at large, so we have the ability to match clients looking for clinicians with shared lived experiences. As part of our team meetings and treatment collaborations, we seek out internal trainings and the sharing of resources and perspectives on culture, individual differences, and identities, and how these aspects shape clients’ lives, symptomatology, and course of treatment. CPG’s clinicians strongly value and enjoy working with individuals of diverse backgrounds and identities, and are committed to practicing with cultural humility.

CPG clinicians have received extensive training in diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout their graduate programs and continue to actively seek out trainings as professionals in the field. For example, recently attended workshops include, “Culturally Responsive Anti-Racist CBT Practice” by LoPresti and Abdullah and “At a Crossroads: Making APA’s Apology Actionable Through CBT-based Mentoring Practices” by McManus and colleagues. CPG clinicians have worked extensively with underserved populations including ethnic, racial, and gender and sexual minorities. CPG has regular staff meetings and internal trainings focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we have a growing list of shared resources for staff.
