Prospectus: IOCDF’s Training Institute

Our Online Consultation Groups offer web-based, interactive training over the course of three-month semesters that enables clinicians to improve their skills in treating OCD and related disorders. Led by expert faculty from our Behavior Therapy Training Institutes (BTTIs), these small-group sessions advertised to our professional community provide an ideal opportunity to highlight your brand to a dedicated audience of mental health professionals.

As a BTTI Sponsor, you’ll be supporting our most impactful and in-demand program for clinicians treating OCD. Delivering this level of training at an attainable cost requires substantial resources, which means each in-person BTTI operates at a loss. Sponsorship is essential to keeping the program strong and sustainable, allowing us to equip more clinicians with the tools to effectively treat OCD and improve access to quality, evidence-based care.

Our in-person BTTI trainings provide a hands-on opportunity for mental health professionals to gain practical skills, resources, and real-world experience in an interactive setting. Participants can network with peers, engage directly with expert faculty, and immerse themselves in focused learning tailored to the needs of the OCD community. In-person trainings include a general population focus, pediatric focus, and our BTTI for Treating OCD in Communities of Color training for BIPOC clinicians taught by BIPOC faculty.

Our virtual BTTI trainings offer the same high-quality instruction and resources as our in-person sessions, with the added convenience of learning from anywhere across the globe. This flexible format makes it easier for professionals to balance training with their busy schedules while accessing expert guidance and comprehensive materials. Along with our general population and pediatric-focused VBTTIs, the IOCDF also hosts the BTTI Virtual en Español, conducted entirely in Spanish.

Each BTTI training offers scholarships to six eligible clinicians who treat OCD in underserved populations. In 2024, the IOCDF awarded 89 scholarships totaling more than $60,000 to clinicians who serve patients of color, individuals with public insurance, families of low socioeconomic status, and those who speak languages other than English. By sponsoring a scholar, you directly support one clinician’s participation in a BTTI training, ensuring these clinicians gain the expertise needed to provide life-changing, evidence-based care in their communities. Each scholarship includes access to the training, a year of IOCDF professional membership, and a listing in the IOCDF Resource Directory, extending their impact well beyond a single event.

Please note that while sponsors do not select the scholarship recipients, we prioritize applicants local to the BTTI host site when making award decisions.
