Apply for a Research Grant

The International OCD Foundation is pleased to announce that we will be offering research grants to scientists investigating OCD and related disorders in 2024! The generosity of our donors has allowed us to make over $1 million in research funding available in 2023 alone.

Grants will be awarded through a competitive application process that is open until February 28, 2024. Learn more about the available grants and sign up for email alerts below!

2024 Research Grant Award Types

Breakthrough Award

A five-year $500,000 grant for senior researchers pursuing high-impact OCD research. Eligible research projects must investigate topics in the field of OCD. These may include prevention (i.e., keeping OCD from taking hold) and treatment (i.e., effectively achieving significant reduction in symptoms or remission). Funding for the Breakthrough Award has been generously provided to the IOCDF by the Selig family.

Michael Jenike Young Investigator Awards

These grants of up to $50,000 will be awarded to early career researchers pursuing projects investigating OCD, BDD, hoarding disorder, or other disorders related to OCD. The Jenike Awards are made possible by thousands of individual donors who contribute to our research grant fund.
