Stacey Klein LCSW
Psychotherapist
I have treated hundreds of people with OCD over the years. I’ve run OCD groups as well for working professionals, presented on OCD treatment to therapists in several institutions, published an article on OCD in adults and children and a book chapter on neurodiversity in children. I also work with children who have PANS/ PANDAS. My practice is about 50-75% dedicated to OCD or some form of it whether it be Pandas in children, perfectionism in adults or various forms of OCD.
I’ve been treating OCD for over 14 years since working at Mount Sinai’s Center for OCD and Related Disorders. Since then I have been working interactively combining somatic (mind body) and other psychotherapies combined with CBT and ERP. I offer my own integrative approach to OCD. Most people who find me have already tried ERP and it hasn’t fully helped them. Feel free to read my published articles about my treatment approach on my website. I would be happy to help you.
I work with all cultures and populations and I am always interested and open to learning more about the diverse needs of each person as it relates to their cultural identity.
I had training in social work school many years ago on diversity. Since then, I have been working as a therapist with a wide range of people with diverse backgrounds ranging from Asian American, Native American, African American, Indian, Latino and other cultures. I spent many years working in outpatient mental health clinics and school based clinics with a large range of multicultural students and families. I also worked in East Harlem in Manhattan mostly with African American and Latino families for close to 10 years. I also work with clients internationally as an OCD expert.
