The IOCDF awards annual grants to research scientists seeking to advance scientific understanding of OCD and related disorders, improve existing therapies, and discover new and more effective treatments. Since 1994, the IOCDF’s Research Grant Program has awarded over $11 million in funding support to researchers worldwide. The generosity of our donors allowed us to distribute over $500,000 in research funding in 2025 alone. These grants are a pillar of our mission and help actualize our vision that everyone impacted by OCD and related disorders has immediate access to effective treatment and support.
The IOCDF is pleased to announce that it will award two grant types in 2026:
- Michael Jenike Young Investigator Awards: These grants of up to $50,000 will be awarded to early-career researchers pursuing projects investigating OCD, BDD, hoarding disorder, or other disorders related to OCD, and are made possible by thousands of individual donors who contribute to our research grant fund. - Innovator Award: This three-year grant of up to $300,000 is for seasoned researchers, and is intended to support innovative and potentially groundbreaking projects — high-impact science that could profoundly impact the field and accelerate progress toward new and more effective treatments for OCD.
Both grant types will be awarded through a competitive application process.
Proposal applications will open on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 5pm ET (2pm PT) and will close on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 11:59pm ET (8:59pm PT).
